Depuis jeudi dernier, il y a des changements notables qui ont été apportés à notre site web. En fait, avec l’équipe de Tonton, nous le remanions secrètement depuis 1 mois environ.
Donc, étant donné que nous faisons désormais de la direction photo pour la télé et le cinéma, nous avons ajouté une section « Cinematography » qui permet de visionner notre « demo reel » (medley de nos plus belles séquences vidéo) ainsi que les dernières productions, pour Canal D par exemple, sur lesquelles nous avons bossé comme directeur de la photographie.
Ensuite, l’intro du site qui se faisait sur un rectangle noir est maintenant devenue une fenêtre dans laquelle joue en boucle ce même « demo reel » de SPG LePigeon pour agrémenter l’arrivée des visiteurs.
Finalement, côté photographie, nous avons fait le ménage dans le portefolio et ajouter de nos nouveaux shootings dont celui réalisé dans le désert, en juin dernier, avec les 2 comparses de Tonpetitlait.com.

So here is the second installment of our blog sharing weekly post.
This week we propose you a website that many of you probably already know about. I believe though that it is still worth presenting BOOOOOOOM for many reasons. First, the blog is run by Vancouver artist Jeff Hamada and covers many subjects like art, design, film, music and photo, obviously. Secondly his tastes are great and you can spend hours discovering artists that will blow your mind.

Le temps d’une seule soirée, ce vendredi 4 décembre, venez visiter l’exposition rétrospective de nos meilleurs travaux photographiques réalisés en 2009.
Au Salon Officiel, à Montréal, sous la formule d’un 5 à 7 qui s’étire jusqu’à 10h, LePigeon ainsi que moi-même seront sur place afin de discuter et commenter avec vous les différentes photos qui seront accrochées pour l’occasion.

Finally, this is the last part of the b&w serie we shot last summer with some of the Comic artists from the french side at the world famous Festival Juste pour Rire.
We cannot thank them enough for their generous complicity and time. You see, these guys are highly in demand during the Festival and, each day, we are the very last people taking them in photographs. Our booth is set up next to the VIP tents allowing us only very late at night, after all the shows are over, to grab them by the arm and lead them to our backdrop. But every single time, each and everyone collaborated perfectly and delivered what we were asking for including the big names such as Anthony Kavanagh, Stéphane Rousseau, Franck Dubosc, Sugar Sammy, the guys from Chick’n Swell and special guests this year: Yves P. Pelletier, André Ducharme, Guy A. Lepage and Bruno Landry for the RBO quartet.
Unfortunately, for different reasons, year after year, we cannot shot them all, but we manage every time to photograph a fair amount of Comics.
We sincerely hope you enjoyed these last 2 posts about these b&w portraits as much we enjoy right now revealing them to you after such a long wait of 4 months since the original shootings.
