Après 8 jours, je suis enfin revenu de l’extérieur du pays. J’étais disons à Cuba pour me relaxer du temps des fêtes!
Bon, en parlant de tapons, notre gang de Meilleuremusiquedumonde.com est complètement folle et c’est connu! On vient tout juste de sortir pas 1, mais bien 2 mixtapes de grosse sauce à mongol!!!

Definitely one of my favorite music videos of all time! It’s all about the storytelling, the weirdness of all the characters and the high-end quality of the filming. All of this combined to this great tune by Aphex Twin! This piece runs for a long 9:30min but I swear to you that every second of this music video is worth it!
« All is full of love » music video from Björk has also secured a place in my Top 5 list meaning Chris Cunningham (director on both videos) is literally a genious to me!

Depuis dimanche dernier, une équipe de réalisateurs de contenu visuel et écrit suit la tournée Piknic Électronik / Bande à Part pour une durée de 5 différentes dates. Hebdomadairement, il y aura donc des reportages photos, vidéos et des posts sur différents blogs à ce sujet dont ceux du 33Mag et de Bande à Part.
Le « slideshow » ci-haut contient une trentaine d’images que j’ai prises à Trois-Rivières. Dimanche prochain, nous serons au Parc Jean-Drapeau de Montréal et la tournée se terminera le 13 août à Gatineau dans le cadre du Festival outaouais émergent. D’ici là, la tournée passera au FME de Rouyn et au Festival Envol et Macadam de Québec.
Lors de ces premières excursion du Piknic Électronik en dehors de Montréal, mon rôle consistera principalement à produire des photographies pour le compte de Piknic / Bande à Part et de faire la fête aux « afters » du 33Mag présentant notre fameux band Meilleuremusiquedumonde.com! Ça me sort du studio et/ou des longues retouches assis dans le noir! Dur d’être photographe parfois…

We just finished updating our portefolio!
We assembled together only the very best images we blogged lately and transfered them on our website. Just so you know, we also took advantage of this moment to rehandle the portefolio. Of course, new comers will enjoy anyway while regulars will get the chance to discover a whole new display!
So, permanently, you will now find promo images we shot for Omnikrom and Meilleuremusiquedumonde.com in the « Portrait » section. In « Fashion », check out Antoine’s b&w pics plus we added photographs from our ongoing shootings with Fashionleaka!
We are very busy lately at the studio and new projects are well underway. That is the main reason why we have been so shy on the blog for the past few weeks. However, we are working super hard to catch up! Expect more new stuff from SPG to be posted in the very near future!

No, we are not a blog on wordpress… We are a bunch of entertainers ready to party and rock you with music and visuals! In brief, we are a music band without instrument and we will be playing this Thursday August 6 at Shag for the Francofolies‘ afterparty!
As for the images… Man, we had heaps of fun shooting these at the studio last May!!! Every single pictures from the Meilleuremusiquedumonde.com first promotional package released lately has been shot at SPG. In fact, LePigeon and I are part of the crew so any shooting coming out from this band has everything to do with us. Designwise, it is our dear friend and band member L’Étiquette who developped the brillant logos, flyers and scratches signature on the individual pictures.
Inspired by photographer Jill Greenberg, we had a desire to illsutrate something totally at the opposite of Meilleuremusiquedumonde.com‘ s spirit. So we came out with a first color concept: the crying bandsters!!!

At the same time, we also wanted to show every band members with a more b&w classical approach for other communication purposes. Therefore, we shot individual photographs in really a simple manner, styled with a few personal props plus exploiting shadows, hair and skin texture created by our lighting for a 2nd set shown below:
