Ida Ekblad is a norwegian artist working in a broad range of mediums such as painting, sculpture, poetry and music. She works mostly with our society’s waste that she collects in the different cities where she works, resulting in abstract compositions that are some kind of reminiscence early expressionism of the CoBrA movement. The strongest aspect of her work lies in the fact that she is using that visual language to make a comment on our contemporary culture.

Jayson Scott Musson is a gorilla in a tie. If he’s not wasting hours upon hours re-watching the cantina shoot-out between Han Solo and Greedo as if it were the Zapruder film, then Jayson Scott Musson is sleeping. If he’s not sleeping then he’s eating. Once he’s done eating, he then takes a small hike into the forest where he digs a hole into the earth so he can have sex with the planet. “I’m trying to make a golem like a Hebrew wizard.” Mr. Musson declares as his reason for this violation of Mother Earth’s sacrosanctity. This is the closest Mr. Musson will ever come in being either a scientist or a father.

Jayson Scott Musson lives in the city of Philadelphia where he sometimes writes, sometimes plays around with his crayons in the production of visually arresting stuffs, and sometimes makes raps.

Mr Musson also has a pretty funny alter ego that he calls Hennesy Youngman, aka aka’s aka the Pharaoh Hennesy aka Henrock Monarch. Make sure to watch all of his ART THOUGHTZ videos. Thoses will for sure make you a better and more successful artist.

Described by Noel Coward as having “All the charm in the world with nothing to back it up” the Duke of Windsor was a Peter Pan Prince. Self involved and never wanting the party to stop, he was a flirtatious and hopeless romantic, falling in love with the twice-divorced, bewitching American, Wallis Simpson. Consequently, forced to choose love over his duty as King he abdicated in 1936 having only been King for less than a year. He and Wallis lived the jet set lifestyle in exile and he continued to display his flair for fine tailoring and a distinctive style. His style may not seem rebellious today, but in the 1920’s and 30’s his quirky wardrobe of mad mixed checks and plaids and extremely baggy plus fours (and this only for golf!) sent shock waves through the establishment, sparked new trends and gave British fashion a sartorial rebranding.

1997. Le deuxième album du déjà-alors-mythique groupe de Staten Island (NY) était extrêmement attendu. Son premier extrait l’était encore plus.

Et « Triumph » est enfin sorti. Beaucoup ont détesté. D’autres ont décidé que c’était le MEILLEUR VIDÉO DE TOUS LES TEMPS. (Dans ce temps-là du moins…). Les effets spéciaux étaient tellement avancés pour l’époque qu’on disait même que pour le montage, ils avaient dû utiliser un ordinateur.

J’aime les stades.

Les stades, c’est aussi cool que les aéroports et les gares, mais en mieux. Tu y vas pour regarder du sport, boire de la bière entre amis et crier des insalubrités aux pas bons de l’équipe adverse. Le summum du bonheur quoi…

Assister à la construction de stades est aussi assez fascinant. Je n’ai aucune notion d’architecture et je me demande réellement comment est-ce que ça peut être possible d’assembler des structures aussi immenses…

Ceci dit, avec l’EURO 2012 qui approche à grands pas, normal qu’on en soit rendu à finaliser la plupart des nouveaux stades construits pour l’occasion en Pologne et en Ukraine. Petit tour d’horizon des stades en construction:
