Mardi 30 novembre 2010Olafur Eliasson
Mardi 30 novembre 2010Olafur Eliasson is an Danish-Icelandic installation artist. Now based in Berlin, he created monumental installation such as the New York City Waterfalls, the Weather Project at the Tate Modern and the Green River Project in Los Angeles, Stockholm, Tokyo, Moss in Norway and Bremen in Germany. He was also recently commissioned to design the Harpa, Reykjavík’s new concert hall and conference center. In 2009, he founded the Raum Experimente educational research project in collaboration with the University of Berlin. To put it in his own words; The Institut für Raumexperimente is in itself an experiment. To me, the experiment as a mode of inquiry is necessary if we are to insist on a constant, probing and generous interaction with reality. Or to put it differently: by engaging in experimentation, we can challenge the norms by which we live and thus produce reality.

Lundi 29 novembre 2010SELF SERVICE
Lundi 29 novembre 2010Self Service magazine is a Paris-based fashion and culture biannual. It is more than your average fashion magazine, it is a template for experimentation in the field of photography, typography, design art and fashion. It was founded in 1995 by Erza Petronio and Suzanne Koller and continues to stand as one of the most original and inspiring magazine there is. The thing itself is a bit pricey and hard to find (especially in Montreal) but don’t be so sad, they have a blog.

Radiohead – Just (1995)
